Mauv today share new single Young Buck, taken from his debut album Armageddon, to be released April 13th on the London/L.A. based boutique label All My Thoughts. Known in the South London scene - while still very much a newcomer - Mauv is something of an outlier, as his previous singles demonstrate. Clash Magazine described recent single Wash Over Me as having an "other-worldly sense of melody". and it is easy to see why - wonky vocals seep into jazzy drums. New single Young Buck is the album-opener and a perfect introduction to the record, an intensely atmospheric mood permeates throughout, while Tom Kellett's vocals are both serene and disturbing. Mauv will headline The Windmill, Brixton on April 14th.

On Young Buck, Mauv says;
"I tried to create an industrial, robotic feel from acoustic instruments. The lyrics came later in the process, and came from a cramped, lost, angry state of mind that could only have been brought forward by the pandemic in a time where I already felt lost creatively. The words don’t entirely make sense, and most came from an almost stream of consciousness style. This track always felt like an appropriate opener to the album due to it’s mechanical, doomsday-ish delivery, I felt it could set the perfect tone to the LP"
